FOLFAN is a longtime sponsor of this “loaner life jacket” program that makes Personal Floatation Devices (PFDs) available at most of the popular swimming beaches in our state park (Folsom Lake SRA). The life jackets are borrowed for the day and then returned for someone else to use.
Using PFDs increases water safety. Although it can’t be proven with statistics, the program saves lives. According to U.S. Coast Guard, 84% of drowning victims were not wearing a life jacket.
